Project Overview

Context & Ambition

PedalHub is a comprehensive marketplace system catering to both sellers and buyers. Individual sellers can easily list their gear for sale, execute bike exchanges, and offer cycling accessories, while bulk buyers, wholesalers, and retail consumers can complete purchases seamlessly.

The platform was commissioned to bridge a gap in the enthusiast market by providing custom tools tailored specifically to the unique attributes of cycling components (e.g., frame sizes, gear types, component brands).

⚠️

The Problem Statement

The core challenge was to create a unified platform that was highly intuitive for individual sellers, yet robust enough to handle high-volume bulk orders from wholesalers and commercial distributors. Integrating these two distinct user types in a shared ecosystem without cluttering navigation was a delicate balance.

Additionally, individual sellers struggled with complex product listing schemas. They needed a system that auto-suggested vehicle attributes, provided real-time listing previews, and supported easy mobile listing flows.
